Improved Quality of Life for the Elderly

The Kamprad Family Foundation aims to increase knowledge about ageing and to help create a society where the elderly can live safe, active, and meaningful lives. By developing knowledge, the foundation seeks to strengthen understanding of the needs of an ageing population and how society can best respond to them.

The goal is to support research that leads to improved practices, methods, and approaches within health and social care. This includes knowledge that contributes to high quality, greater security, and better conditions for the elderly, as well as the development of assistive technologies, preventive measures, and new solutions that promote independence and enhance quality of life.

The foundation also works to improve the quality of life for the elderly by promoting knowledge about physical activity, nutritious food, outdoor life, and social interaction. Reducing loneliness and creating opportunities for community and participation are essential elements of sustainable ageing.

The Kamprad Family Foundation considers family and close relatives as a crucial part of successful ageing. The Foundation therefore supports projects that assist these groups and strengthen their ability to contribute to care and quality of life in a sustainable way.
